Ryan Evans

I build software and websites that do a real job, from a native iOS app in user testing to lead-generation tools and fully custom-built sites that help local businesses get found.

Drift

A short-form video feed designed to help you fall asleep.

Social feeds are built to keep you scrolling. Drift keeps the scroll and reverses the goal: over about 15 minutes, the videos get calmer, the color gets warmer and the sound gets quieter. I designed and built the whole system.

42testers so far
100+testers in the current round
58%of the first 12 testers fell asleep during or right after a session
86%of the first 7 testers noticed the feed winding down on their own
  • iOS app: native SwiftUI shell with a custom UIKit video engine that reuses five video players for smooth, instant swiping, covered by 180+ automated tests.
  • Content delivery: a 195-clip catalog across three nightly feeds. Core clips ship inside the app so it works offline. The rest download in the background from Cloudflare R2, and each file is checked with MD5 before it can play.
  • AI curation tool: a Next.js app that sends each clip to Gemini for a suggested place in the feed, with a person approving every decision.
  • Research infrastructure: a Cloudflare Worker and D1 pipeline that captures session and per-clip data for a 3-night A/B test on TestFlight.

Apps

Leadscope dashboard: a search bar for niche, location and radius above a ranked table of roofing leads with contact details, score breakdowns and a Lead Power score.

Leadscope

An AI lead-generation platform. Type in a business type, an area and a radius, and it finds the local businesses that most need help with their website, social media and online profiles.

  • Pulls businesses from the Google Places API, then crawls each site with Firecrawl.
  • Checks for SSL, mobile support and parked domains, and finds linked social accounts.
  • Uses Gemini to rank each lead on website, SEO, reviews and online presence, and explains the opportunity.
  • Drafts personalized outreach emails, tracks leads in a sales pipeline and exports to CSV.
  • Can be tailored to the services being sold, with a custom mode already built for faith organizations.

Candidata

A nonpartisan congressional scorecard used by prospective voters to check their representatives' records and learn what they actually voted on.

  • Data pipeline covering all 537 current members, built on the GovTrack API, Congress.gov and official public records.
  • Ranking algorithm that scores each member 0–100 on attendance (57%) and legislative activity (43%), with party and ideology left out.
  • Head-to-head comparison of any two members: scores, attendance, bills sponsored and shared votes.
  • AI vote breakdowns from Llama on Groq that explain each bill in plain English, with the strongest case for Yea and for Nay.

I turn ideas into real products, then do the work to get them in front of people.

I'm the founder of Evans Digital and the creator of Drift. I study Management Information Systems at Ole Miss, where I'm also a scholarship athlete. I've been teaching myself new technology and selling what I make since my early teens, from custom 3D-printed products on Etsy to software for businesses.

  1. Product

Took Drift from a research-backed idea to a native iOS app in user testing, handling the design, the build and the tester feedback that shapes each version.

  2. Sales

Find my own clients at Evans Digital: I research local businesses, pitch owners directly, often with a sample of their new site, then deliver and maintain the work.

  3. Growth

Improve how businesses show up online through SEO and Google Business Profiles, using what I've learned building an audience on short-form video.

  4. Technical

Build with AI-assisted development across iOS, React, databases, cloud infrastructure, payments and third-party APIs, which lets me ship quickly with a small budget.

  5. Funding

Secured early outside funding for Drift, presented it to experienced founders and negotiated licensing for its video library.
